The practice of portraits painting has been with us for centuries and its many forms can be seen in different cultures around the world. The word comes from the Latin “portrahere,” translated as “to drag out, reveal, expose.” It could also be described as mankind’s ultimate form of self expression in its attempt capture and immortalise another person’s self, or goal?
